Our story

La Parisienne has been created by french friends between David Meunier, a Miami-area developper and former race car driver and Myriam and Jean Dandonneau who run a french bakery and restaurant in Florida.

David is a polo player and he is passionated by horses. He decided to move part time to Aiken. He knows that Myriam and Jean, his friends, are food passionate and asked them to be part of a new adventure : opening a french restaurant in Aiken.

Myriam and Jean are both engineers in Computer Sciences but in 2016, they decided to live from their passion : french gastronomy.

Myriam and Jean have been traveling all over France discovering the best restaurants like Anne Sophie Pic, Troisgros, and Michel Bras... Their wedding took place in Pauillac in wonderful restaurant of Cordeillan Bages. The famous chef Thierry Marx prepared the wedding dinner. They are very happy to be part of this adventure and can't wait for the opening .

Lorene, the manager runs "La Parisienne". Lorene as two passions in Life : horses and food.

In 1998, she founded an equestrian center in Aveyron, a rural part of France and she spent 10 years managing this center. They were affiliated with the french Federation and were giving lessons to kids and adults, organizing competitions and events in their center.

They were playing horse ball and races. They were also taking care of horses, at the beginning 10 horses and quickly more than 40.

A second passion is food. Lorene is a very good cook and as all french people, she has been raised in the culture of food and wine. She has been working in the glorious 80's in an bakery during 2 years.

Aiken is the perfect city to mix this tow passions. She is very excited to start to run the restaurant and to have conversations about horses and food with her guests.

La Parisienne offers you a great selection of wine and beer, outdoor and indoor seating like many of the established bistros in France.

The french chef is in charge of the cooking and prepare a large variety of traditional dishes : croque monsieur, dessert crepes, fresh salads...etc... Enjoy the taste of authentic French Bistro Cuisine for breakfast and lunch. Dine outdoors on the patio or in our restaurant. Fresh baked breads and french pastries are available seven days a week. For something different, bring the taste of France to your next event. We offer on-site catering for all types of functions throughout the greater Aiken area.
